Greetings, my fellow potterheads!

Have you lovely people have seen Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return To Hogwarts?

Bet you have, yeah? How was it? Emotional enough to make you cry? Gave you these flashbacks and memories about these movies intentionally have a special part on your life? In my case, yes.

Harry Potter was and always gonna be a trend. I feel deeply sorry for those who's hyping this movies just because of that Draco Malfoy trend in tiktok. Geesh, I was like, please, where have you been? What did you watch 5-10 years ago? Barbie movies, Cherrybelle, or even sinetrons? How sad! What a waste of childhood! Not having a crush on Malfoy when you were like 11 or 12 is something I would regret now hahah. But it's okay, everyone are welcome to be a potterhead, including my future kids. 

I'm amazed to the 6th grader me for finishing the last Harry Potter book, the Deathly Hallows. I mean, wow, what a nerd I was! But no regret, cause I'm proud of you, dear kid. Keren banget gak sih, dulu waktu SD gue udah namatin seluruh buku harry potter, bayangin. Ceritanya bahkan udah mulai serius di buku terakhir itu. Gue aja ngeliat adek gue yang udah kelas 9 SMP namatin satu novel aja bisa nangis terharu- alias gue gak pernah liat dia baca. Maklum sih, cowok. Tapi yang kelas 8--cewek--juga gak jauh beda. My mom succeeded in convincing her to buy books, but I rarely see her read too. Buku novelnya juga masih yang ringan, terakhir tentang fairy princess dan cerita ringan tentang seorang baker. Mau gimana lagi, sekarang aplikasi tiktok lebih seru daripada buku. Hape terus, 24/7. I'm acting like my mom here, pardon, but as a generation who still read, I feel sorry for those who don't. Well gue juga suka males baca, scroll medsos, but now that I'm free of college, I still find my interest in novels.

Right, back to Harry Potter.

Same as the actors and actresses who grow up together like a family in the making of the movies, I'm growing with them too. I entered the magical world when I was 10. I remember thinking, that the next year I'd be able to be a Hogwarts student. But thinking about it, I read the first famous Harry Potter book when I was 10?! Right so. Gue minjem buku-buku herpot bahasa indo dari perpus Jakarta. My family used to go there every Saturday, or like twice a month, to borrow books and films. Masih jaman-jamannya minjem CD buat nonton di rumah hahah what a good old days.. Dari sana gue rutin minjem buku herpot dari pertama sampe kelima, karena sisanya minjem dari temen. Gue inget banget, habis nonton film pertama dan kedua, gue nanya ibu, "film ketiga boleh ditonton gak? serem nggak?" HAHAH POLOS BANGET KAN? Applause to my mom karena bener-bener merhatiin age-rating kalau nonton film. Ga kayak adek-adek gue yang udah nonton film rating 18+, tak patut. Pokoknya herpot udah kaya rutinitas deh. Gatau kenapa gue bisa betah baca novel begitu waktu SD, ibu gue keren banget bisa 'nyuruh' gue baca serius di umur segitu. 

Dulu tuh waktu esde, besti gue juga demen banget sama herpot sampe kita punya ide buat bikin pajangan harry potter di kelas. Apasi itu, poster yang pake karton trus dihias-hias? OH MADING! Iya dulu tuh lagi belajar buat mading kan, trus kita berdua-atau bertiga gitu, tapi yang keras kepala kita berdua, sampe minta izin ke wali kelas kita buat bikin mading harry potter itu. Kita dulu tuh suka nama-namain anak-anak kelas pake nama di harry potter gitu wkwk. Misal, gue jadi Hermione dan dia jadi Ginny. Trus yang jadi Ron tuh anak laki yang gue sukain di kelas, dan yang jadi Harry yang besti gue sukain juga HAHAHA.. Pokoknya cocok-cocokan ajalah, gimana sih bocah SD. Kita iseng aja nama-namain seluruh anak kelas jadi karakter-karakter di herpot. Sebucin itu sama herpot, gais. Gue bahkan mendalami karakter Hermione sampe ke otak (terbukti kok, nilai UN MTK esde gue sempurna hehe flex) dan bahkan make unsur Hermione ke password medsos gue... until now! 

Waktu SMP, gue re-read buku herpot yang versi bahasa Inggris. Bahkan buku pertama gue baca sampe 3x, gue inget banget waktu SMA awal-awal pas lagi jamkos, mojok sambil jaketan, trus baca buku herpot pertama yang bahasa inggris. Gue SG-in, makanya inget. Gue berhenti di buku ke-4 atau ke-5 gitu, soalnya tebel banget kan, Inggris pula, males deh! Di SMP, gue nggak nemu potterhead (or i forgot?) tapi di SMA ada satu! She even gifted me a Malfoy ganci huhu so sweet of her. Shoutout to my friend Poewdri for the ganci she made <3 

And that's all. Special thanks to JK Rowling for making this wonderful world for me and million of kids outside to grow up with. Such a beautiful story, and many to learn from these books. Watching this reunion movie had me tearing up. Thank you to my mom for introducing me to this, too. I'm grateful I didn't spend my childhood with stuffs that I'd regret now. Not gonna give examples.
